The use of this web site is
conditional upon your acceptance, without modification, of all the terms and
conditions provided below. Your continued use of this site communicates your
acceptance of these terms
1-Any booking made or order placed by you shall be deemed to be an offer by you
to purchase the relevant travel arrangements subject to these booking
conditions. No contract between you and Metropolis Travel shall come into
existence until Metropolis Travel i) Issues your reservation voucher and ii)
Receives payment in full.
2-Payment in full is required at the time of booking for hotels available
through our system. Payment must be made through Metropolis Travel's website by
credit or debit card. The cooling off period is 24 hours, however, cooling off period does not apply to check ins in the next 72 hours.
After submitting form and payment, you will receive your voucher by email with
the address and telephone number of the hotel.
However, if you choose to opt for a hotel that is on request, we will do our
best to comply with your reservation by contacting our representatives within
48 hours. Once a confirmation has been received for your requested hotel, we
will proceed with the payment by charging your card as agreed in the original
request. If we are unable to confirm your initial request an alternative may be
provided and an email notification will be sent to inform you of the details.
The reservation will be held for 48 hours in order for you to inform
acceptance. When we are in receipt of your acceptance, we will proceed with the
payment by charging your card as agreed in our email correspondence.
4- Prices are shown in the currency requested with rates of exchange calculated
on a daily. Prices may change on a daily basis to reflect any movement in
exchange rates. When a booking is made the exchange rate will be fixed at the
time the booking is created and will apply to any amendments or cancellations
to items within the booking or to any items added subsequently. Metropolis
Travel determines exchange rates.
5-The rates provided for you on this website are available only through
Metropolis Travel's websites. Please do not call the hotel direct, as they will
not have the same rates in their reservation system.
6-Bookings for travel arrangements will not be accepted less than 48 hours
prior to the date of arrival, unless the arrangements requested are shown as
"Immediate" availability.
7-Star ratings are used to symbolise the overall quality, level of service,
food standard and range of facilities available in any given hotel property.
The criteria applied within each country will vary depending on the specific
requirements established by the relevant issuing body but the outlines below
will give a general understanding of what can typically be expected within each
category. Please note that these ratings are general guidance only and are not
scientific or form a guarantee of any kind by Metropolis Travel.
Star Ratings:
1*: Majority will be small, independently owned and basic properties. There is
likely to be a limited range of meals and facilities.
2*: Varying from small to medium sized properties offering more extensive
facilities. Reception and staff will aim for a more professional presentation
than at one star level and a wider range of services, including food and drink,
is likely to be found. Some rooms may be provided with en-suite facilities but
this is not guaranteed.
3*: Hotel properties will usually be of a size to support higher staffing
levels and with a greater quality and range of facilities. Reception and public
areas will be more spacious. All bedrooms should come with en-suite facilities
and room service may be available.
4*: At this level there should be a noticeable difference in the degree of
quality in the furnishings, décor and equipment. Bedrooms are usually more
spacious than those found in lower starred properties. Services such as 24-hour
room service, laundry and dry cleaning may be available.
5*: These properties should provide spacious and luxurious accommodation
throughout the hotel. Flawless attention to the guest's requirements should be
provided.
8-Rooms may be single, twin, double, triple, or quad. However, the number of
beds and the room layout varies from hotel to hotel. Twin rooms may be 2 single
beds or a double & a rollaway. Quad rooms will not have four beds, but may
have two double beds, or two beds and a camp bed or single bed. Triple rooms
usually have a double bed and a single bed (or camp bed), two doubles or two
singles and a camp bed. If three or more people share a room conditions will
always be cramped. Usually, a "triple" or "quad" room is the same room as "twin
or double; the word "triple" or "quad" refers to the occupancy of the room
rather than the room type. Also, even though you have to pay extra for a single
room, it will generally be smaller than a twin/double room, even if that
twin/double is booked for single occupancy.
You must make payment for extras (such as incidental charges, meals, meal
supplements, mini-bar, dry cleaning and laundry) prior to your departure from
the hotel. Hotels in California may levy a daily supplement from April 2001 to
be paid prior to departure due to an increase in the State power charges.
